London & Scottish appointed by Crown Estate Scotland for urban property mandate
London & Scottish Property Invesment Management (LSPIM) has been appointed by Crown Estate Scotland following a detailed process to provide property management services for its Urban Portfolio asset at 39-41 George Street, Edinburgh from 1 April 2021.
The property comprises a ground-floor retail space and 17,350 sq ft of office space arranged over four upper floors.
Crown Estate Scotland purchased the building in the mid-1990s. It has a Category B listing by Historic Environment Scotland because of its regional and local importance. In addition, its location in George Street means that it lies within the New Town Conservation Area and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Andrew MacGilp, Director of Commercial Property at LSPIM, said: “We are very proud to be entrusted by Crown Estate Scotland with managing a property of such significance.
