Paisley – Wallneuk Retail Park
- £10 million retail park
- 400 parking spaces
- Tenants include Lidl, The Range and Tim Hortons drive-thru coffee
- Created 120 retail and 80 construction jobs
The Wallneuk Retail Park in Paisley was formerly the site of a bowling alley, which closed in 2010. The land was bought by a national retailer, but lay derelict for many years until London & Scottish bought it in 2015 with the intention of developing a retail park.
Following a consultation process, the appropriate planning consents were granted in late 2017, and the London & Scottish development team started construction.
Anchor tenants were secured and Lidl opened in May 2019, followed by The Range in the September and Tim Hortons shortly thereafter.
The site on Renfrew Road, which is the main route into Paisley from the airport, was the most prominent derelict site in the town. Instead of having its busiest street lined with hoardings, Paisley now has a vibrant retail park with some of the UK’s fastest growing retail brands.
